Pam about being called an actress

Here's her opinion...

"I don't really think about anything too much. I live in the present. I move on. I don't think about what happened yesterday. If I think too much, it kind of freaks me out.."

Pamela Anderson Lee Bio

To say that Pamela Anderson is enjoying a rather full life would be something of an understatement. The millennium's most recognizable icon has hit her stride.

With more magazine covers worldwide than any star of her generation - in every important demographic - Pamela is entering a new phase both professionally and personally which will ensure that her already shining star rises to new heights.

A syndicated columnist with U.S women's magazine Jane and Marie Claire in the UK, as well as an advice column in Canadian Elle, she is focusing each month on women's issues drawn from her extensive and rather well publicized personal history. The idea of the original column was born out of Pamela's discontent with a profile published by the magazine early in 2002. She eloquently set the record straight on the many misconceptions about her which have found their way in print and in doing so impressed the magazine's editor Jane Pratt who hired Pamela on the spot.

Pamela is also focusing her energies on four causes close to her heart. These are:
Creating public service announcements to generate worldwide awareness of Hepatitis C, with which she was also recently diagnosed.
Offering support and encouragement to women in domestic violence shelters, based on her own experience of domestic abuse.
Ongoing commitment to the ideologies of PETA which supports the end of all cruelty to animals. Sir Paul McCartney has presented her with a humanitarian award for her efforts in this arena.
Building schools for underprivileged children worldwide - starting in Guatemala - thru her involvement with Learning For Life.
A very hands-on mum who operates without the "normal" coterie of nannies and housekeepers, Pamela can whip up a vegetarian lasagna for 20 neighborhood kids without batting an eye and so it seems logical that she should be in the process of writing a children's vegetarian cookbook in conjuction with PETA.
By way of complete contrast, Pamela's next venture is an animated series, Stripperella, which she has co-created with Marvel Comic's own Stan Lee, who is riding on his own new wave of success with the box office topper, Spiderman. As a feisty secret agent cum topless dancer, Stripperella fights heinous crimes against womankind. The series The series exploded this year on Spike TV ( and was the highest rated show ever in its time slot) n and mirrors perfectly Anderson's own quirky sense of humor. The series is being sold worldwide.

Pamela has also just re-visited the world of 4a.m. starts reprising her role as CJ Parker for a guest appearance in the Baywatch Reunion Movie which was broadcast on Fox this year. Flattered by Fox Studio's insistence that Pamela be on board before they would green light the project, Pamela has never forgotten that the show helped to shape her stardom and so the appearance seems a natural way to thank the millions of fans who made Baywatch the most success syndicated show in television history - still airing in over 180 countries worldwide.

As executive producer - from concept to creation - of her own show VIP, Pamela has another syndication success story of similar magnitude to Baywatch to add her stable. The show has demonstrated Anderson's unprecedented and continued mass appeal with audiences worldwide. So what's in store for this mother cum icon, cum columnist, cum designer, cum "actress"?

Having fought through the international courts to own her own name, Pamela launches her website www.pamelaanderson.com on September 12 this year alongside of 2004 calendar.
Building on her iconic stature, Pamela is also in the process of developing a number of licensing ventures in partnership with ULG, which will include clothing, jewelery, accessories and beauty products.
She recently signed a mutli-book deal with Simon and Schuster.
Anderson will continue to be in the news in a positive and creative way.
